Simplicity of the composition, strictness of the proportions, subdued color scheme, discreet geometry are the distinctive features of the Russian Classicism. This style appeared to replace the tortuous Baroque, with its flowing lines and abundance of décor. Due to the basic principles of decoration, refined stucco moldings and subdued grey, the Classic-style dining room has acquired the solemn look.
Nobility of features
One of the pluses of the room can be called the ceiling height. This has allowed applying for decoration monumental plaster décor, which has smoothed the transition between the walls and ceiling, by that making it even higher. As in the past, the walls are divided for fields, bounded by laconic stucco moldings.
Decoration of the door cloths completely corresponds to the decoration of the walls. Principles of geometry and color have been selected perfectly.
Ceiling stucco molding is small-scale, but despite this, the decor is chosen in such a way as to emphasize the geometry of space and bring flowing lines in the Interior. Since maintaining accurate geometry at this radius is quite difficult, the craftsmen have used special techniques and put their talent in making perfect proportions of the décor. But the result is obvious: harmonious molding layout remarkably complements the symmetry of walls division.
Despite the fact, that the door border is stodgy, it does not overload the Interior, since the snow-white color of complex stucco molding is balanced by the dark curtains. The complex configuration of the ceiling décor is in great harmony with the rectilinear geometry of the walls division.
An interesting combination is made by the subdued color, natural lighting and lighting devices. In different scenarios for their use, the room acquires slightly different shades and color transitions. The chandelier in the shape of a cone with crystal garlands scatter flecks. Desk lamps give hushed comfort.
Creations of talented masters are introduced in the Interior. Special backlighting serves to emphasize merit of the pictures and creates additional local lighting.
A huge doorway has allowed creating light unconfined space which may be optionally divided by the doors. But even so, decoration of the walls and ceiling throughout the premises stay the same.
Details Set The Tone
Walls painted in subdued grey, with thin rods have become the perfect backdrop for exclusive furniture. Otherwise, they would be ”lost” among the rave of colors.
An interesting technique has been used to decorate the ceiling. The rods are partially painted in the tone of the curtains and décor of the fireplace. They have become the iconic color elements in the living room.
This is the style of solid and constant people. The décor of the Interior is not just majestic, but brings in certain noble quietness.
